Xmas time is an important moment for kids; they have heard the excellent tales of Santa Claus and the reindeers and the special day of the 25th. From the build up, British children are on the internet and in shopping catalogues searching high and low for the very latest video game for them to put at the top of their Christmas list. At primary school and pre school the very hottest conversation is what game they will be asking Santa Claus and if he might give them more video games than their mates.

Every Christmas period the toy market research companies and toy shops start making their predictions about what board game will become the number one largest seller for that year. In past years the British Isles have registered the Playstation 3 and the Harry Potter Games coming in at the top.

One of the hottest video games is from the tremendous Ben 10 toy range. Ben 10 is a kids programme from the United States and is about a young kid called Ben who sees an astonishingly magical alien watch like item that snaps itself onto his wrist and provides him with eye-opening alien powers. With his alien powers, Ben helps others when they are in danger as well as create some fun mischief with Ben’s lovely cousin Gwen. With the phenomenal success of the cartoon series, an extensive range of great kids toys have been manufactured, these comprise of figures and video console games.

Another famous seller this Xmas time will be kids board games, one of the most popular being Monopoly. Loosely based on the economic concept of a company owning everything, Monopoly is a wonderful family friendly board game that is hugely popular that 750 million users have played Monopoly. Throughout its magnificent 100 year lifespan, Monopoly has seen it move into an online game, video game format and even an iPhone application.

While best selling predictions are interesting, the real actual unit sales will tell us what video game was the biggest seller this Xmas period.
